Axe Masters Since 1771
Since 1771, The Erenesto Riva Shipyard has been active in Laglio on Lake Como. This vintage exclusive brand articulates true craftsmanship and has not been active for years but centuries. Since the start of the journey the shipyard has been specializing in the construction of boats used by fisherman and traders.
The shipyard has preserved the historical company records from the late 19th century which contain precious treasures depicting order details and technical drawings of the boats.
Today the shipyard is located at Maslianico and is specializing in the production of sailboats, motorboats, and the detailed restoration of vintage boats.
One if its most iconic models is the Cantiere Ernesto Riva Jetto 5.3, a charming, elegant, and easy to drive runabout. Inspired by the classic lines of American runabouts of 1930s, it can reach speeds of up to 30 knots. It is relatively light, weighing just under 155 kg and can seat 6 people. This is perfect for day cruising or as a complimentary tender on a super yacht.
Daniele Riva, already reaching the eighth generation of the family, is using his expert knowledge and craftsmanship to combine traditional manufacturing and innovative techniques and keeping environment friendliness a top priority.

“We believe that at this point we must focus on the lowest environmental impact and the possibility of offering alternative solutions to mass navigation. A concept for sustainable mobility in our lake and beyond.” Daniele Riva
The latest innovation is the development of E-Next, a complete handmade electric wooden boat which will follow the designs of the previous electric designs by The Erenesto Riva Shipyard.
The recent designs are elegant, contemporary, and more importantly environment friendly.
The E-Next boats are powered by a 100 kW engine developed by Mitek from Ravenna (Italy). This is a water-cooled system and transmits the motion to the propeller through the axis line and is capable of achieving over 20 knots.
“The electric boat made entirely of wood”
